     Big Tree Farm is 550 acres of pure opportunity for year-round indoor and outdoor enjoyment. Once upon a time, the beautiful rolling hills of this estate were merely cornfields. The grounds of this legacy estate are the product of 30 years of imagination and an endless supply of sod, trees, and stone, strategically placed to create the masterpiece you see today.

     You’ll feel as if you’re entering a resort when you arrive at Big Tree Farm. The property welcomes visitors through three formal gated entrances flanked by miles of pristine white fencing. Along the entryway and perimeter of the property, beautiful mature Pin Oak trees stand tall every 50 feet. As you approach the main house and adjacent buildings, magnificently landscaped corners and signs carved into giant boulders lead you to your destination.

     Guests will enjoy walking or jogging the 3.5 miles of paved trails that wind around the lakes and botanical gardens. Along the winding trails you’ll discover beautiful waterfalls and views of bronze sculptures by world-renowned artists.  A stunning Pool Pavilion, with amenities that include a 2,042 sq. ft. resort style pool, covered outdoor bar, catering kitchen, adjacent dining area, large stone fireplace, air-conditioned restrooms, and lakeside cabanas providing the ideal setting for entertaining.

     Big Tree Farm is a paradise for the outdoor enthusiast.  The eight different lakes provide endless opportunities for fishing, boating, and kayaking and areas of the property feature mature forest canopy with woodland nature trails for mountain biking or ATV riding.  Abundant wildlife on the property includes wild turkeys and white-tailed deer.      The 3-story main residence at Big Tree Farm includes 6 bedrooms and 5 1/2 bathrooms all finished with the same thoughtful design and laid-back luxury. The main level great room welcomes you to the property with views through soaring floor-to-ceiling glass windows.  Master bedrooms on the main and lower levels feature stunning stone fireplaces and intricate hand-carved mantels, walk-in closets, and luxurious ensuite baths. 

     The residence was designed with a lower-level walk-out floor, perfect for guests and younger members of the family.  As you exit the walk-out and cross the expansive lawn you are greeted by a large covered pavilion, stone fireplace, and rocking chairs; the perfect area for outdoor fun or relaxation.  Nearby is a charming miniature log cabin playhouse and children's playground area.

     In the sprawling Guest Quarters, known as "The Stables”, each guest suite is named after Kentucky Derby winners from nearby Churchill Downs.  The thoughtfully appointed rooms were modeled after Four Seasons Hotel New York. The luxurious guest suites have a resort-like feel, are generously sized, and exquisitely furnished with every comfort and amenity.

     The 6 bedroom, 6 ½ bath Guest Quarters building was designed with common area amenities including a living room, dining room, coffee bar, restroom, laundry facility, and wrap-around porches with stunning views of the lake and fountains.  The bedroom suites feature vaulted ceilings, plush carpeting, walk-in closets, luxurious marble bathrooms, soaking tubs, and oversized showers.  On the main level, guests will enjoy the fully-equipped resort-style fitness center showcasing views of the shimmering lake, mature trees, and green grass through floor-to-ceiling glass windows.

     The Guest Quarters are located steps away from the Pool Pavilion, gas fire pit, resort-style swimming pool, tennis facility and miles of paved walking trails.  The gardens, pathways, and common areas around the property are lighted for enjoyment throughout the evening.

1950’s Diner

Classic Car Museum

     Originally conceived as a private estate to enjoy with family and friends, Big Tree Farm has entertained visitors from all over the world. The 9,184 square foot Entertainment Facility can easily accommodate 600 seated guests for parties, corporate meetings, or fundraisers. The main stage has featured world-class entertainers such as Kris Kristofferson, Alabama, Charley Pride, and numerous other performers.

     The building features giant double-doors on each end that can be opened to bring in the outdoors, a wrap-around saloon-style bar, professional sound system, grand stage, dance floor, laser lighting, fog machine, game room, outdoor fire pit, outdoor amphitheater, catering kitchen, upper level loft, and restrooms.

     A 1950’s style diner is located adjacent to the Entertainment Facility. The centerpiece of the 2,400 square foot diner is a shining, brand new, never driven, Harley Davidson motorcycle stationed high above the center of the bar.  Experience the pure delight of this gorgeous diner with its black and white checkered floors, music memorabilia covered walls, red vinyl seats around the soda counter, and classic big red booths and tables.  Each table is adorned with its own fully-operational mini jukebox player.  Other amenities include a professional sound system and diner-style restrooms for the ladies and gentlemen. The impeccably conceived and crafted space can seat over 150 guests.

     Vintage Texaco gas pumps set the tone for the remainder of the 27,750 square foot building; the Classic Car Museum that at one time, housed 250 automobiles. The building is fully heated and air conditioned, equipped with a professional sound system, in-ground exhaust system for automobiles, state-of-the-art mechanical facility, hydraulic lifts, wash area, and detail area.
